Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Crescent City, California. In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating financial processes, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with established standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in auditing to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive internal audit programs to evaluate financial processes and operations.
- Conduct detailed financial audits to assess accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Identify and document audit findings, including areas of risk and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports for management, summarizing findings and proposed solutions.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and understand operational workflows.
- Assist in planning and executing the annual internal audit schedule.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to ensure audit processes remain compliant.
- Provide insights and support to enhance internal controls and risk management strategies. Requirements - Proven experience in internal auditing, including financial audits and compliance reviews.
- Strong understanding of audit programs, processes, and methodologies.
- Ability to identify and document audit findings with clarity and precision.
- Proficiency in evaluating internal controls and recommending improvements.
- Familiarity with planning and executing annual internal audit schedules.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.
