Job Summary: EchoStar Corporation is reimagining the future of connectivity, with a diverse range of services including satellite television and mobile plans. They are seeking a Program Manager - Aviation to lead critical programs in the aviation industry, ensuring the successful implementation and launch of in-flight connectivity solutions. Responsibilities: • Manage the development, qualification, and launch of in-flight connectivity systems in compliance with industry regulations and standards • Orchestrate product development, aircraft certification and product delivery to ensure all customer requirements are captured and managed within the scope of internal and third-party supplier teams • Oversee linefit projects to integrate connectivity systems seamlessly for installation during the aircraft production process • Lead the overall relationship with airline customers and airframe manufacturers through the development and launch phase of the product lifecycle • Manage strong relationships with vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met • Work with internal stakeholders to implement rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the reliability, performance, and safety of in-flight connectivity systems • Identify potential risks in program execution and develop mitigation plans to drive risks to closure • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to establish best practices within the organization • Anticipate and proactively address programmatic, technical, and implementation issues that arise during project development • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and resource allocation Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field • 5+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred: • Master’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field • Prior experience with linefit and retrofit programs in the aviation industry • Experience managing phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support • Experience managing STC projects with FAA or EASA • Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence • Proficiency in project management software and tools Company: EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS) is a premier global provider of satellite communication solutions.
