Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Big Data Engineer with a strong background in data analytics, Python development, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and deploying data analytics solutions in production environments, along with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can influence business outcomes and drive innovative solutions in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy data analytics solutions using Python and Big Data technologies.
• Leverage strong knowledge of PySpark, SQL/PLSQL, and Kafka to build robust systems.
• Proactively mitigate risks and manage project pipelines to ensure prioritization and resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor a team, setting high performance standards and fostering career progression.
• Manage performance, individual development plans (IDP), and conflict resolution within the team.
• Retain talent, manage attrition, and facilitate career mobility for team members.
• Collaborate with AIM leadership and business stakeholders to influence business outcomes and decisions.
• Define business requirements and create technical and process documentation to support activities.
• Identify skillset requirements for business needs and ensure effective utilization of analytics resources.
• Demonstrate thought leadership in partner meetings and drive innovative solutions.
• Communicate effectively with both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in data analytics and core development using Python and database technologies.
• Strong hands-on Python coding skills with experience in Big Data environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Proven track record of building and deploying data analytics solutions in production environments.
• At least 8 years of people management experience with a focus on mentorship and coaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across teams and stakeholders.
• Strong coordination and project management skills, with the ability to define business requirements and create documentation.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, technical, and statistical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence business outcomes and drive innovative solutions.
• Intellectually curious and consistently seeking new opportunities for development.

Pay Range: $60 - $80

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
